Pirate PEN helps develop parent skills and youth resiliency by providing opportunities for connection and relationship building. Pirate PEN is committed to inclusiveness and cultural competency as well as reaching out to parents, staff, and the community.

Parent volunteers provide leadership and implementation of many programs offered to LMS and the LMS community. 

Pirate PEN at LMS engages Team Leaders and School Volunteers, who take ideas into action through parent discussions, distribution of information, parent partnering, informational displays, book clubs, the Greeter program, Parent Partners.

Additionally, we are affiliated with the regional PEN organization which offers education, resources, coaching, facilitation, and engagement opportunities that build parent skills, relationships, and sustainability.
